White Hot: The latest stainless steel tableware fashion

What’s the color of the year?

Some say it’s the hues of spring—yellow and green. Others believe it’s still metallics: gold, silver, bronze, and electric blue.

Whatever the shade of the year is, may it be sweet or flashy, Multiple Choice by topchoice’s new white collection is a perfect match.

Through the years, Multiple Choice by topchoice holds the reputation of making high-quality porcelain Stainless Steel Tableware—from saucers and espresso mugs, to cookie plates, dinner plates, salad plates, and gourmet plates and bowls.

“Our products are chip-resistant,” assures Willie Tan, Topchoice’s creative director. “Unless accidentally or intentionally thrown into the ground, Multiple Choice by topchoice goods will not break even if put under 1,550 degree Celsius of heat!”

This year, the Stainless Steel Tableware brand returns to the basics by going “white-out”. All-white, yes, but with an emphasis on their shapes and themes.

First, there’s the “Urban White,” an aesthetically uncomplicated range that suits both casual and formal table setting. It is inspired by city life, designed for those craving a modern, stylish, basic, and functional lifestyle.

“Trendy,” “metropolitan,” “very round,” and “curvy,” are the words Tan used to describe this line composed of basic plates and deep bowls that complement each other as multi-functional pieces to create a practical and modern impression. The gourmet plate, for example, perfectly fits into the salad bowl to serve as cover.

Next comes the “Fountain White” series. As its name suggests, it represents the fountain—graceful, curvaceous, and liquid in shape. “This set’s shape makes it outstanding when matched with other colors,” says Tan.

For Zen lovers, there’s the “Organic White,” which follows today’s trend in replicating the look of nature: pure and minimalist. The cups, plates, saucers, and bowls found in this array are molded after things found in nature like rocks and leaves. According to Tan, this variety’s luxurious creamy color reminds one of the spa.

Of course, apart from the purely white, there are also some lines in the collection with some hints of tint. There’s the “Christmas White” range with a red, “Guam” motif. The star of this group is the red gumamela printed on white background.

At the other side of the rainbow is the “Wonderful World” set which features white with four colors: orange, green, pink and yellow.

Although white has a reputation of being easily attracted to dirt, Tan guarantees their products are easy to clean and will stay white forever. Breakable, yes they are, but topchoice products make dining experience truly memorable, he adds.

“Porcelain makes the sound of eating very delicious. Coffee, for example, tastes better when sipped from a porcelain mug than a plastic cup,” he points out. “More than just getting themselves full, people eat to have a great experience. That’s exactly what Multiple Choice by topchoice products are made for.”

Multiple Choice by topchoice is available at Rustan’s.
